🔥 Honesty and vulnerability on LinkedIn?
Now we’re getting real.👇
For me, the biggest barrier I broke was just being myself – especially here on LinkedIn and with old friends and colleagues.
Once I embraced that, everything shifted:
→ Connection
→ Empathy
→ Support
→ Sharing
👥 That’s the human element we need more of.
But let’s be clear: don’t share just because it’s trendy.
Fake vulnerability?
🚫 We’ve all seen those posts trying way too hard, and it doesn’t build trust or make a real impact.
💡 True vulnerability is about wanting to connect, to help, to uplift—not seeking validation or applause.
✨ Authenticity is more than words. It’s about being generous with your knowledge and genuinely helping others.
→ You don’t have to spill everything – I certainly don’t.
→ But when you do share, make it count.
→ Give value.
Leading with honesty doesn’t just feel good – it’s good for your health and your relationships:
📊 Being yourself at work boosts job satisfaction by 50% (HBR).
👥 Strong social ties can increase life expectancy by 50% (Harvard Health).
💡 Vulnerability builds deeper connections (Brené Brown).
⚡ Trusting workplaces improve energy and mental health by 106% (APA).
So yeah – being real isn’t just a feel-good thing. It’s how you build meaningful, lasting connections. 🌱
P.S What’s one way you’ve seen vulnerability strengthen your connections?
